The Crabtree Volunteer Fire Department is a progressive, 100% volunteer organization that was chartered in 1938 in order to protect the lives and property of the Crabtree and surrounding community.  The town of Crabtree is located in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania and is made up of 3 townships: Unity, Salem and Hempfield.  The fire station is located in the Unity Township section of town along the Latrobe-Crabtree Road, just off of U.S. Route 119.
