The Penn Township Recreation Department is located in Harrison City PA.

The Penn Township Recreation Board is responsible for supervising, maintaining, and regulating Township parks, recreation areas, and facilities. The Board is made up of seven members, two of which are Penn Trafford school board members, or their appointees, two are Penn Township commissioners, and three are at large Township residents, appointed by Township commissioners. Board members serve staggered four year terms.

The Penn Township Recreation Board meets at 7:00 PM, the 4th Thursday of the month, in the Township Municipal Building, September through June. Exceptions can occur during holiday periods, and times can be verified by contacting the Township offices at 724-744-2171. The public is welcome at all meetings.

Park facilities, such as pavilions, courts, and ball fields, can be rented for parties or organizational functions, by contacting the Township administration. Pavilion rental fees range from $100.00 to $175.00 depending on the pavilion and time of the week; and courts and ball fields fees are $60.00 per 2 hour time slot. Combination rentals are at a reduced rate.  Rentals are available at Municipal Park in Harrison City or Level Green Park on Cyprus Court in Level Green. 

The Recreation Board strives to provide facilities to meet the interests of all Township residents. Township parks located in Harrison City, and Level Green have a variety of options, from playgrounds to walking trails, ball fields and courts. Municipal Park also has a fishing pond and a dog park. Brush Creek Park has a rustic environment, appealing to naturalists, mountain bikers and hikers. The American Legion Park in Claridge has some playground facilities, a court and a pavilion.
