Saugerties Junior HIgh School is an junior high school serving Saugerteis  NY students in Saugerties Central School District. 

Welcome to the Saugerties Jr. High School.  As Principal, I am proud to work with such a fine staff, and caring school community.   Character education is stressed every day because good character  will positively affect academic performance as well as peer relationships.  Teacher teaming continues to be an integral part of our school philosophy. Parents are able to reach their child’s team on a daily basis to work out issues associated with their child’s classroom.  This remains a tremendous way for the school and home to communicate.  We also have an active Middle Level Team of teachers who meet monthly to troubleshoot issues in the building and come up with positive solutions for our children.  This year we have a new Assistant Principal, Mrs. Kappler.  She will be taking care of discipline as well as working with the social and academic needs of our students.  

Finally, in the midst of a very difficult financial time for our district, I believe the Jr. High is continuing to strive toward excellence through high expectations for all and a strong commitment to the children we teach.  Please call or stop in if you would like to speak to me for any reason.
