Inspector General
Established by Act 105 of the South Carolina Legislature effective July 1, 2012, the OIG is an independent state agency dedicated to strengthening the trust between the citizens of South Carolina and the Executive Branch of state government. Specifically, the OIG is charged with investigating and detecting fraud, waste, abuse, mismanagement, misconduct, violations of state or federal law, and wrongdoing in the Executive Branch.
