Verona’s Public Works Maintenance Department

The primary functions of Verona’s Public Works Maintenance Department is to assist in and/or perform a wide range of unskilled, semiskilled, or skilled maintenance and construction work throughout the Borough and to operate and/or use a variety of tools and work-related equipment in the construction, repair and maintenance of streets, placement of signs and markings as well as street cleaning and snow removal operations.  Additionally, they maintain publicly owned properties and the Borough’s parks and recreational equipment. The maintenance department keeps Verona neat and attractive.  They are especially important during the winter months to keep the streets plowed and passable.  The hard working maintenance department was recognized for their outstanding work during the extreme winter weather of 2010.
