Town of Chester Receiver of Taxes collects and disburses School and General Property taxes for the Town of Chester, NY. This office will be closed at the end of the business day on March 31; we will however credit payments that are received via mail AFTER that date with a postmark of March 31st.

After April 1st all unpaid taxes will be forwarded to the Commissioner of Finance of Orange County, residents can contact them for payment amounts and information after April 15th at 845-291-2480.

Residents can also pay their taxes from January – March, Monday – Friday from 9am to 3pm at:
