The West Earl Township Road Department in Brownstown PA takes care of all road maintenance. 

The West Earl Township road department takes care of the snow plowing in the winter, street sweeping in the spring and leaf pickup in the fall. The road department is also responsible for the following:
•paving and maintenance for the 45 miles of the township roads 
•all street signs and road signs on Township roads 
•all park maintenance for the Township’s three parks 
•weed control on the Township roads 
•the compost facility on Locust Street

The Township has four salt spreader trucks, eight snow plows and about 20 pieces of equipment and vehicles. The Township has a contract with PennDot to remove snow on 13 miles of state roads within the Township. The Township parks cover about 19 acres at three locations, 3 acres at the Township building, 9 acres on Stone Quarry Road and 7 acres at the Talmage park.
