Village of Fishkill- Police Department

The Village of Fishkill Police Department is a small, professional, municipal law enforcement agency. The Department is comprised of 25 part-time Police Officers and administered by a civilian Police Commissioner. The Department performs basic patrol functions, traffic and parking enforcement, accident investigation and investigations of crimes and violations; with an emphasis on community-oriented policing, quality of life maintenance and problem solving. Serious criminal investigations are cooperatively pursued with, or referred to larger, full-time law enforcement agencies.

It is the mission of the Village of Fishkill Police Department to provide a high level of service while ensuring safety for our residents and a peaceful quality of life for both the residents and businesses of the Village of Fishkill and to all of those who may visit our community.

The Department protects the rights of all persons within its jurisdiction to be free from criminal attack, be secure in their possessions and to live in peace.

The residents of the Village of Fishkill are served by officers performing their law enforcement functions in a professional manner and it is to these residents that the Department is ultimately responsible.
