Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. was opened in 1961 by Frank E. Matinchek. Frank, who is still involved in the day to day operations of the funeral home

Frank’s grandson, Zachary Matinchek, is continuing the tradition. Zachary, who also graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, became a licensed funeral director in 2012. Under his grandfather’s tutelage, he took over the reins of the business in 2014.
