The Lancaster County Children and Youth Social Service Agency is a public child welfare agency that provides protection services to Lancaster County's most vulnerable citizens - our children. The Agency's mission is to protect the health, permanency, safety and emotional well-being of children and youth at risk of abuse and neglect.

Annually, the Lancaster County Children and Youth Social Service Agency provides services to over 8,000 children who range in age from birth to age 18. 
 

If an emergency arises after business hours, an emergency caseworker is available by calling the Medical Bureau at 396-8085. Please utilize the emergency caseworker for those situations where a child is in immediate danger or where there is the high risk potential of life threatening injury.

The Children and Youth Agency is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Referrals can be made to the Agency by calling 299-7925 during business hours or call toll-free - --Childline - 1-800-932-0313 anytime, to make a child abuse report.
