City Council and Mayor

The seven-member Myrtle Beach City SC Council includes six council members and a mayor, all elected at-large for staggered, four-year terms.  City Council hires the City Manager, who is the chief executive officer for the city.  City Council also appoints various boards, commissions and committees to assist with the work of governing.
