Planning and Zoning

The Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (MPC) empowers Plum Borough to plan land development by creating zoning, subdivision, land development, and planned residential development ordinances. The Borough adopted new zoning and subdivision and land development ordinances in December of 2017, and these ordinances are amended from time to time.

Building and Code Enforcement

The Building and Code Enforcement staff deals with building and code enforcement, residential and buidling inspections, permits, and construction issues. The department issues permits for decks, fences, swimming pools and other common residential and commercial structures.  Plum Boro enforces the Uniform Construction Code (UCC).
