The Ulster County Clerk's Office acts as Custodian of the records for the County. We oversee records dating back to 1683 including deeds, mortgages, judgments, liens, maps, civil and criminal actions. Yearly, hundreds of people search, file and record land records, legal documents and court papers in the office.
Drivers licenses, registrations for automobiles and other motor vehicle transactions can be done on a daily basis. Motor Vehicle services are available in the County Office Building, Monday through Friday, or from our mobile bus that travels to five towns in Ulster County each week.
If you are interested in becoming a notary or obtaining a United States passport, applications and permits are available through the County Clerk's Office.
