The Town of Rosendale, NY Police Department is made up of a Chief of Police, a Sergeant and twelve sworn police officers. The officers assigned to patrol are uniformed officers who patrol the town’s 21 square miles and serve approximately 6,400 residents. The duties and responsibilities of the Police Department include: the prevention and detection of crime; the control of traffic; motor vehicle accident investigation; quality of life issues; calls for service; domestic violence disputes; response to residential and commercial alarms; response to fire and ambulance emergencies; and vehicle violation enforcement to name a few.
