General Information

The school is one of the eleven elementary schools in the Kingston City School District. The school opened with seven classrooms in 1956 as the Lake Katrine School.  It was expanded to the current size in 1962 and dedicated in 1983 in honor of Mr. Edward Crosby who served the community for 33 years as a Teacher, Principal and Community Leader.  Serving over 300 children in grades K-5, the school generates tremendous support and pride from the Lake Katrine community.  The dedicated staff is committed to providing strong academic skills in all subject areas.  Learning is the primary focus at Crosby School.

The Crosby Building Leadership Team takes an active role in celebrating the success of our students and staff.  School Improvement Planning is an on-going process.  This is a school community that maintains high standards for all thus creating a 'Culture of Excellence'.

The school has a supportive and active parent organization (PTO) that meets on a monthly basis. PTO volunteers assist with many events and activities throughout the year.  All are welcome to attend.
