Kingston Harry L. Edson Elementary School

Welcome to the Harry L. Edson Elementary School located in the city of Kingston, New York. Our school was opened in 1966 and dedicated to the memory of “Pop” Edson, a well-known community figure who lovingly devoted 35 years of his life to children in our area.

The Edson School is in the beautiful and historic Hudson River Valley, approximately 90 miles north of New York City and 50 miles south of Albany.  This school is one of the largest elementary schools in the Kingston School District, with an enrollment of approximately 450 students. Every day we celebrate the diversity of our students as we continually strive to provide the highest quality instruction.  Edson is a very special school with wonderful children, caring parents and a dedicated staff.
