The Jackson Township Public Works Department in Spring Grove, PA consists of five employees who are responsible for maintaining 47 miles of township streets and roads. This includes the construction of new, reconstruction and patching of existing roads, placement and maintenance of road signs. They conduct the Township’s fall leaf pickup, the spreading of anti-skid material and snow plowing when needed and street sweeping in the spring. They maintain the Township buildings and grounds, recreation areas and the fleet of public works vehicles and equipment. Also, they operate the wastewater treatment plant and assist with the repair and maintenance of the Township’s sewer lines and eight pump stations.
