Mayor's Office

The Harrisburg Mayors Office is located in Harrisburg PA.

We are a dynamic, vibrant and diverse city that is on the move. We are blessed with the natural beauty of the Susquehanna River as it meanders toward the Chesapeake Bay, and with a history intricately connected to the founding of this great nation. We were a vital stopping point on the Underground Railroad, and a major training center for Union troops in the Civil War. Our residents have a strong sense of community and public service, and they take pride in their unique role as the capital of the great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Here you will find rich legacies of history and culture. We are home to the Civil War Museum, The Whitaker Center, Harrisburg Theatre, the Harrisburg Symphony, and a plethora of restaurants, cafes and bistros to sample everything from hamburgers to multi-course gourmet feasts.

Equally important, Harrisburg is a city that is welcoming to business and focused on economic development. And our definition of economic prosperity is both comprehensive and inclusive. It reaches beyond the bustling shops and restaurants of Market Street into the neighborhoods where our citizens, who are of rich, diverse cultures, live, go to school, and raise their families.

Above all, Harrisburg is a city of warm, wonderful people committed to a common vision of mutual respect, personal responsibility and civic pride.

Welcome to the City of Harrisburg. It’s a great place to call home!
