Postural Restoration & Orthopedic Massage Therapy
Harrisburg & Cleona, PA
Breathe. Move. Thrive.
At Restore Breath & Bodywork, our goal is simple: help you move better, feel better, and return to a better quality of life.
Restore is a licensed massage therapy practice specializing in postural restoration, breathing optimization, clinical massage, movement-based bodywork, and specialized post-operative support.
With convenient locations in Cleona and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, we serve clients throughout Lebanon, Hershey, Harrisburg, Camp Hill, Dauphin County, Lebanon County, Cumberland County, and surrounding communities.
Our approach focuses on how you breathe, how you move, and how those patterns can affect comfort, mobility, posture, and overall physical well-being.
Restore Your Health. Restore Your Quality of Life.
At Restore Breath & Bodywork, we believe every person has the capacity to move, function, and feel better.
Many of our clients come to us after dealing with chronic discomfort, orthopedic concerns, movement limitations, or recovery challenges following surgery. Rather than focusing solely on a diagnosis, we focus on restoring function, mobility, breathing mechanics, and efficient movement.
Our therapists use a combination of hands-on manual therapy, movement education, breathing techniques, stretching, and individualized bodywork to help clients participate more actively in their own recovery and long-term health.
We are not a traditional spa-style massage practice, nor are we a physical therapy clinic. As licensed massage therapists with advanced training and clinical experience, we provide individualized care designed to complement your overall health and recovery plan.
Our Philosophy
We believe that humans who breathe well and move well tend to feel well.Modern lifestyles, injuries, surgeries, repetitive activities, stress, and other factors can contribute to inefficient breathing and movement patterns. Over time, these patterns may affect posture, mobility, muscular tension, and everyday comfort.
Our goal is to help you understand how your body moves and breathes while providing hands-on care and practical tools that can support improved function.
We focus on the foundations of human movement and health rather than simply chasing symptoms.
Postural Restoration
Postural Restoration is a neuroscience-informed, evidence-based approach focused on improving efficient posture, breathing, and movement patterns.
Treatment may incorporate manual therapy, verbal cueing, breathing instruction, active movement, and client participation.
Unlike completely passive forms of treatment, postural restoration is a collaborative process. Your therapist works with you to develop a better understanding of your body's movement and breathing patterns while providing tools that may help support long-term improvement.
Our approach may help clients:
Conditions & Concerns We Address
Our work focuses on the whole human, with particular attention to functional movement, functional breathing, posture, mobility, and overall physical well-being.
Our therapists have experience working with clients experiencing a wide range of conditions and concerns, including:
If a concern affects how your body moves, breathes, or functions, we welcome the opportunity to determine whether Restore's services may be appropriate for you.
When a client's needs fall outside the scope of Pennsylvania massage therapy, we refer them to the appropriate healthcare professional.
Specialized Post-Operative Care
Supporting Your Recovery After Surgery
Recovery doesn't always progress as quickly or smoothly as expected.
Restore Breath & Bodywork provides individualized support for clients recovering from orthopedic and cosmetic procedures, helping complement the rehabilitation and recovery plan established by their healthcare providers.
Our therapists have experience working with clients whose recovery following joint replacement and other orthopedic procedures has progressed more slowly than expected.
We also provide post-operative lymphatic massage for appropriate clients recovering from cosmetic procedures such as:
Every recovery is different. Our approach is attentive, individualized, and designed to work alongside your physician, surgeon, physical therapist, or other healthcare providers.
When appropriate, we welcome communication with the patient's care team regarding surgical precautions, recovery protocols, implanted devices, and other patient-specific considerations.
A Collaborative Approach to Recovery
Our goal is not to replace your physician, surgeon, or physical therapist.
Instead, Restore provides specialized massage and bodywork that can complement your existing recovery plan and provide additional support throughout the healing process.
If you are unsure whether post-operative massage or lymphatic massage is appropriate for your situation, we encourage you to discuss it with your physician or surgeon and contact Restore to discuss your individual needs.
For Medical Professionals
A Trusted Partner in Patient Recovery
Restore Breath & Bodywork works with physicians, surgeons, physical therapists, chiropractors, dentists, orthodontists, and other healthcare professionals who refer patients for specialized massage and bodywork.
Whether a patient is experiencing a slower-than-expected recovery following a joint replacement or has been referred for post-operative lymphatic massage following a cosmetic procedure, we strive to provide skilled, attentive, and individualized care.
Our therapists bring advanced training, clinical experience, strong clinical reasoning, and a thorough, holistic approach to each client and patient.
We welcome communication with referring clinicians regarding:
Our goal is to work as part of your patient's broader care team and provide skilled support throughout the recovery process.
If you are a healthcare professional and would like to discuss a patient's needs or determine whether Restore's services are appropriate, please contact us.
Trusted by Healthcare Professionals
Restore Breath & Bodywork frequently receives referrals from healthcare professionals who recognize the value of integrating specialized massage and movement-based bodywork into a patient's overall care.
Every client and patient receives:
We believe communication between healthcare professionals is an important part of providing safe and effective care.
Massage & Bodywork Techniques
Unlike clinics with tiered, spa-style menus, Restore Breath & Bodywork operates with one comprehensive session rate.
This allows the therapist to select the safest and most appropriate techniques based on the client's needs rather than limiting treatment based on a particular service or price level.
Depending on your individual needs, treatment may incorporate:
Each session is customized to support improved breathing, movement efficiency, mobility, comfort, and overall physical well-being.
What to Expect at Your Appointment
Your initial visit includes a comprehensive health and movement history along with an assessment of your posture, breathing, and movement patterns.
Depending on your individual needs, your therapist may assess:
For assessment accuracy and movement-based treatment, we ask clients to wear loose-fitting shorts and a tank top or similar comfortable clothing.
Unlike traditional massage therapy, where clients may undress and be draped, sessions at Restore often involve remaining dressed so the therapist can evaluate movement and perform specific myofascial, stretching, and movement-based techniques.
In certain cases, additional skin access may be necessary for specific techniques. Your comfort, privacy, and consent are always prioritized, and expectations will be discussed as part of your individualized care plan.
Clients & Patients
What's the Difference?
Clients typically seek our services directly, often through word-of-mouth or referral from an existing client.
Patients are referred to Restore by medical professionals who trust us to provide specialized, integrative care that complements the patient's existing treatment plan.
Whether you come to us directly or through a healthcare professional, you receive the same level of thorough assessment and individualized attention.
Insurance & Payment
Restore Breath & Bodywork does not participate with health insurance plans and does not bill insurance companies.
However, many clients and patients successfully use Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) to cover eligible treatment expenses.
Restore structures its treatment plans with an emphasis on accessibility and the frequency of care that may be appropriate for achieving meaningful results.
Please contact Restore with questions regarding payment options or whether a particular treatment may qualify for reimbursement through your HSA or FSA.
